The Shed in Bordon celebrated its first birthday with a party in the Town Park and the Town Square on Saturday May 28th and Town Crier, Stuart Morrison, had the pleasure of announcing it before the meet and greet.

The Shed opened last year with a mix of local food and drink sellers, specialist shops, arts and crafts businesses and outdoor markets. It has received massive support from local people throughout the year.
To mark the anniversary and to thank everyone who has visited and supported The Shed, they held the all-day party which included live music, children’s entertainment and rides, circus skills, and a chance to enjoy the petting farm.

Spider-Man and Frozen’s Elsa also made guest appearances and the traditional Punch and Judy show entertained the kids.

The history of the town was represented by an Army tank and displays from the Woolmer Forest Heritage Society. There was also a fire engine from Bordon fire station for locals to view.
The Shed is the first key milestone in the brand-new town centre and sits adjacent to the new Town Park and Town Square.

More retail, entertainment, leisure, and health facilities are in the pipeline as part of the wider project to transform Whitehill & Bordon into a sustainable green, healthy and connected town.
